The melodic death metal band finally is bringing their Finnish talent to LNTV. After 23 years of consistently releasing music, touring, and being rockstars in general, they are touring America for the final shows of their most recent album I Worship Chaos’ cycle. After 10 studio albums and becoming one of Finland’s best selling artists ever, Children of Bodom have made a permanent mark on metal history around the world.
The band exploded in popularity in the United States back in 2004 on their first ever (and mostly sold out) world tour. However, their true rise began in Finland on their album Follow The Reaper. It was their first certified Gold album in the country, and every album they’ve released since has gone Gold in Finland. From Hate Crew Deathroll to I Worship Chaos, Children of Bodom have been dominating death metal around the world.
Children of Bodom is a five piece group made up of it’s founding members Alexi Laiho and Jaska Raatikainen. Throughout their time as a band, things changed, and they were left switching up members to their main lineup now consisting of Alexi Laiho, Jaska Raatikainen, Henkka Seppälä, and Janne Wirman, and Daniel Freyburg.
You can catch the action from one of Finland’s best selling band’s of all time from their Irving Plaza show in New York, NY Sunday, December 18 at 9 PM ET.
