Rock music might be getting a new leading lady. Over the weekend Phantogram haunted the crowd at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas with their signature electro rock/synth pop tunes. Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter put on a show that will stick in the crowd’s minds for quite some time. You can see all the pics in the gallery above!
While in LA for the KROQ Acoustic Christmas Performance, Phantogram also took to the Jimmy Kimmel live stage to perform three songs off their most recent album Three. Performing their hit “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore,” along with “Same Old Blues” and “You’re Mine,” Phantogram brought their A game to Kimmel.
You can watch the performances below!
Phantogram have slowly been rising to the top of the alternative rock charts since their release of “Fall In Love” in 2013. Since their formation in 2007, the band has been through the ups and downs of the music industry, and it’s nice to finally see them get some recognition.
Their newest hit single “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” has been controlling rock and alternative charts in a way we haven’t seen from a female fronted band since our darling punk princess Hayley Williams of Paramore. Will Phantogram be the next band to provide us a rock queen of the new millennium? We hope so.
