Though we were sure The xx would never leave their beloved North American fans high and dry, we were worried for a second there. Thankfully the trio showed us some love by giving us the same treatment they did for their European followers preceding their tour announcement.

Several lucky fans were given news of The xx's North American tour with special surprises in their mailboxes on the morning of January 3. For some listeners who pre-ordered a copy of the band’s latest LP—set for release next week—Jamie, Romy and Oliver decided to give back in return for their support. The band sent a 7” vinyl copy of their lead single “On Hold” to fans scattered through the U.S. in cities like Portland and Philadelphia along with a very special invite to their show.

It’s been a busy season for the band; not only did “On Hold” take over the radio and ears of eager listeners worldwide, but The xx super girl Romy Madley Croft has also just announced her engagement to girlfriend Hannah Marshall. In the midst of all this craziness, The xx has also just released their second single off the album, titled “Say Something Loving”—a bright, harmonic tune with just a tinge more momentum than their familiar minimal style. Listen to the track here:

Though we have yet to receive an official announcement of the tour, with their slot on the monumental Coachella 2017 lineup alongside Beyoncé, Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar, it looks like they’ll be hanging out in the states for more than just a few days.

Be sure to keep an eye out for more news on their tour and get your listening ears ready for I See You, which will be released January 13. For more news on their European tour, you can visit their official website here.
