Metallica is poised to bring their WorldWired Tour to the U.S. in May, but they've been thrashing around the world in the meantime. On Sunday night, the metal icons played night number three in Mexico City, and to celebrate the trio of shows, they invited opener Iggy Pop onstage. The rock legends paid tribute to Iggy's punk past by covering The Stooges' "TV Eye"... with RAGE!

Check out nine awesome Metallica's live moments here.

"Much respect for the man coming out here to sing a song with us," James Hetfield told the rowdy crowd. "Please show your sign of respect and love to Mr. Iggy Pop." Chants of "Iggy! Iggy!" erupted as the band fell headfirst into Iggy's raucous 1970 joint.

Metallica's tour, which supports their 10th album Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, will visit the U.S. and Canada in May through August, with special guests Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat. Don't miss out on tickets, and get them here.
