Coldplay, oh Coldplay, how we adore you. Especially when you improvise songs about Christmas and kangaroos. It’s not often you get to hear a band break out in song about a country's indigenous animal … especially a Christmas carol.

The song — appropriately titled “Christmas With The Kangaroos” — is quite the hit. “Christmas here is much more fun / we got surf and we got sun.” Basically, the song is about how Australia is better than everywhere else all year round, including Christmas… but we already knew that. The lyrics continue to get even funnier with the likes of "We’ve got barbies, we’ve got beer / Santa wishes he lived here."

You can watch the hysterical video below and have yourself a merry Coldplay Christmas.

Coldplay also recently announced a massive second leg of their U.S. headlining tour for 2017. Along with the tour, the band announced they will be releasing an EP in 2017 called the Kaleidoscope EP.

You never think a band could top working with Queen B, but with announcement after announcement, 2017 looks like it’s about to be an even bigger year for the legendary band.
