Big Sean has made plenty of hits on his own, but the true Big Sean Don comes out hotter than ever when he's surrounded by his clique. Aren't we all stronger with a little help from our friends? And Sean has some of the most lauded friends in the business -- hell, he got Eminem to feature on 2017's I Decided.
So, as we celebrate Big Sean and his I Decided tour, let's get the party started by take a look at some of the times he's invited his highly-talented pals onstage to surprise his fans.
At a concert in his hometown in 2015, Sean had fans' jaws on the floor when Eminem erupted into a rapid-fire verse on "Detroit vs. Everybody." And not only did he get Slim Shady -- other Detroit natives, like Danny Brown, Dej Loaf, Royce da 5'9" and Trick Trick, joined them too.
Kanye West joined Big Sean's set at Power 106's Powerhouse concert in Los Angeles in 2016 to perform their brand-new "Champions" cut from the yet-to-be-released Cruel Winter LP. They also busted out some older Cruel Summer songs, like "Mercy" and "I Don't Like," while Kanye treated fans to The Life of Pablo tracks "Famous" and "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1."
During a pre-Grammy party at the House of Blues in 2015, Sean invited everybody in town. Kanye West, Chris Brown, Meek Mill and Justin Bieber were seen on stage, rocking out to "I.D.F.W.U."
If you haven't learned already, when Sean brings out special guests, he can't just bring out one. To celebrate the release of 2013's Hall of Fame, he invited Drake on the Detroit stage for "All Me," "Started from the Bottom" and "Versace." Then Nicki Minaj took the spotlight, rapping her verses on Big Sean's "Dance (A$$)" and "MILF."
At that same release show, he got the audience riled up with a cameo by Juicy J. They rapped "Show Out," from Juicy J's 2013 album Stay Trippy.
It was a full house at the El Rey Theater in 2011, with Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Tyga, Teyana Taylor, YG, Jay Rock, Warren G and Kendrick Lamar joining Big Sean. They all bopped to "What You Doin'? (Bullshittin)."
Big Sean brought out a puffin' Wiz Khalifa -- a frequent Sean guest -- for "Gang Bang" and "Supa Dupa Lemonade" during SXSW in Austin, Texas, in 2011.
No one matches Lil Wayne's energy, so he injected something special into the show when Sean played Detroit's Joe Lewis Arena in Detroit in 2016. All the hits were there -- "A Milli," "Rich As Fuck," "Love Me," "How Many Times" -- and the chemistry between the two friends was contagious.
When Big Sean opened for J. Cole's Forest Hills Drive Tour, he brought out labelmate Pusha T for Cruel Summer's "I Don't Like" and "Mercy."
Big Sean just kicked off his I Decided Tour in Houston on March 17, and he gifted his hardcore fans with a surprise from Travis Scott, who rapped "Goosebumps." Who knows? Maybe the excellent launch show bodes well for more musical surprises on tour. Grab tickets to the I Decided Tour here.
