Those fans who are anxiously awaiting the follow-up to Beck's Grammy-winning Morning Phase got a ray of hope on Wednesday when the veteran rocker announced a slew of dates. Beck's new tour will span cities in Canada and the northern U.S.

The trek kicks off on July 9 at the Ride Festival in Colorado and also hit up the Red Rocks Amphitheatre while he's in the area. The rest of the short tour will visit the Northwest U.S. and some of Canada, like Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Vancouver. He's also playing The Greek Theatre with Thundercat on July 14. The whole thing wraps up on August 27, but in our heart of hearts, we hope here will be more dates announced soon. (Tour dates found below.)

Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday, June 2 at 12 p.m. local time.

Beck reportedly has a new album due out this year. In the time since the 2014 release of Morning Phase (which won 2015 Album of the Year), Beck has released a trio of wacky songs, including the great "Wow," "Dreams" and "Up All Night." Perhaps Beck will have something new to bust out when he goes out on the road this summer. Last month, he revealed that he was in the mastering stages of the album:
