"And if you're lovin' your life make some noise!" Anderson .Paak shouts before heading to the drumset during his Later... With Jools Holland performance on Wednesday night. The singer brought his "Am I Wrong" track to kick off the 50th season of the famous music show.

"Am I wrong to assume / If she can't dance / Then she can't oooh," .Paak sang in his soothing rasp. "Am I Wrong" appears on his Grammy-nominated 2016 album Malibu, and usually features Schoolboy Q. But even though Q wasn't on set, .Paak was surrounded by The Free Nationals band, who oozed funk all over the joint. The backup vocals went through a carefully filtered Auto-Tune, and in true Anderson fashion, the song goes through a dreamier, sexier interlude when he hops on the drums.

The performance of the groovy track is enough to shout for joy, which is probably the same feeling .Paak had when he ecstatically yelped for more noise from the audience.
