Alt-J hit The Tonight Show stage on Tuesday night to show off their latest single, the creepy "In Cold Blood." With help from The Roots' drummer Questlove, they dove into the Relaxer track, which details a summer murder. (I told you it was creepy.)

"01110011," singer Joe Newman coos in binary code, sending shivers down your spine with each verse. "Crying zeros and I'm nearing 111 / Lifeless back slaps the surface of the pool / Pool killer, killer, pool, pool killer / Kiss me."

Along with an assist from Questlove, Alt-J also has a full horn section adding a little fanfare to the surrealistic tune, and toward the end, Newman leads the group in a singalong, repeating the menacing, "La la la la la la" over and over.

Alt-J's Relaxer album is due out June 2. Two weeks later, the band will embark on a tour supporting the LP, starting off in their home country by playing London's O2 Arena on June 16. Get tickets for Alt-J's tour here.
